The Instructors:
Sensei Ian Aitkenhead started practicing aikido in February 1973 under the direction of Sensei Kenneth Williams, founder of the Ki federation of Great Britain. Sensei Ian Aitkenhead was awarded his teaching certificate in 1979 and is ranked 8th Dan. He is a grading officer, member of the Federation’s executive committee and international teacher. He continues to practice regularly and attends high grade classes and teachers’ courses taught by Sensei Williams at the Federation’s HQ in Somerset
Sensei Sue Mallory started practicing in January 1991 at Salisbury Ki Aikido Club and started her own club in Southampton and then Amesbury before moving to Poole. She was awarded 5th Dan in 2008 and continues to attend courses and assist with gradings at the Ki Federation HQ.
